A week in the life of a Logistics Support Analyst (Staff Principal):
Maintain and sustain assets deployed for CBP mission operations and perform analysis of operational data to make informed decisions.Review/update CBP policies for data collection and reporting of operational measures.Develop/review logistics and sustainment plans for programs ensuring their implementation.Develop/optimize operational performance measures resulting in best total ownership cost of the system, asset, or technology.Perform data analysis and support program leads in collecting and reporting of operational metrics to stakeholders.Perform inspections/audits of facilities and processes ensuring efficient and effective sustainment of systems/assets.Review supply chain processes, sparing models, asset management system and identify supply chain/operational risks.Experience with ISO 9001, CMMI Level 3, and DHS ALF and SELC processes, and procedures.Experience with DHS Systems, Technologies, and Architecture.Ability to identify technical risks and provide remediation plans.Experience with management/development of internal government Service Level AgreementsAdept at application of sound practices ensuring performance, maintenance and logistics.Expertise in applying Government strategies to technical solutions, e.g., autonomy, security, integration.
Job Requirements
CBP BI clearance REQUIRED (Top Secret clearance also acceptable)Bachelor's degree and 8+ years' experience orHigh School and 21+ years' experience.Must have practical experience and project management knowledge to manage large and complex program requirements and initiatives throughout OA and CBP.Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint are required.Knowledge of demonstrated experience in logistics management and systems engineering.
