Assistant Store Leader

POSITION SUMMARYAWB is hunting for an Assistant Store Leader to work in partnership with the Store leader to inspire and lead a team of customer-facing style experts in a dynamic retail environment. As the Assistant Store Leader, you are responsible for ensuring that you and your team are creating unique and specially curated looks for customers that promote their best selves and establish long-lasting relationships with the brand. You lead by example, and masterfully navigate ever-changing conditions by making informed and timely decisions that are solutions-focused and drive strong business outcomes. You create a fun culture where people feel supported and can deliver an exceptional in-store experience.

RESPONSIBILITIESCreate a selling environment that is focused on a seamless end-to-end experience by engaging with every customer through tailored product education, attending to their unique needs, and adding value to their visitEmulate the brand aesthetics and embody a strong sense of fashionBuild and maintain ample knowledge of the world of sport and luxury fashion with awareness around fashion trendsAssist the Store Leader in managing all aspects of the retail business, as well as make informed decisions based on both qualitative and quantitative data in the absence of a Store Leadertrain, and hold the team accountable for maintaining retail standards and store cleanlinessand support with performance management activities inclusive of feedback, team acknowledgment, performance documentation, and/or addressing performance concerns by partnering with internal support (e.g. Corporate Team)Open and close the store in accordance with opening and closing proceduresConsistently meet and/or exceed all key performance goals and objectives for the store by monitoring and taking action on relevant KPI metrics to achieve goals and capture opportunitiesSupport in planning, preparing, and managing the schedule by considering team members’ qualifications, availability, and performance to maintain efficiency and effectiveness of operationsManage the completion of daily shipment, replenishment, product drops, and stock outsin execution of optimal layout and visual merchandising or product presentation strategyother duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job as specified in company policies and/or procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma required; associate degree preferred1+ years in management-level position in a specialty retail environmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and POS systemsExcellent leadership skillsExcellent time management, prioritization, and organization skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFlexibility to work non-traditional hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSTo perform the essential functions of this job, you must be able to frequently stand, walk, talk, and hear. Near and far-sighted visual acuity and normal depth perception are required.
