Industrial Engineering Intern

Job Description

Industrial Engineering Summer Intern will work directly with Manufacturing Engineering Manager to gain real-world experience working on actual engineering projects within the Bison business unit. Our manufacturing facility produces motors, blowers, pumps, motor drives, and associated electronics that are used in a variety of demanding industries.

What you will do

Assist with production line moves, including improvements to layouts to reduce cyle time and general workflow Value Stream Mapping Create Work Instructions Involved in implementation of solutions and standard work Routing of new products

What we are looking for

Must be enrolled in a relevant Engineering degree program at an accredited university; Industrial and Mechanical Engineering majors would typically be a good fit, but similar majors are considered Sophomore or higher-level standing 3.0 GPA or higher Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail to effectively communicate with others is highly beneficial Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to read assembly prints for assembly/disassembly of motors given training and supervision
