What You Will Do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead development of an insight driven sensing capability with a focus on revolutionizing decision making. You will lead a team of programmers for full-stack web-based application development for various components of our Sensing Capability with overall accountability of technical implementation aspects of projects including planning, architecture, design, development, and testing.

Lead full-stack web-based application development for various components of our Sensing Capability.Lead a team of programmers while also willing to jump in and do programming/code reviews etc. based on project demands. Hands on programming is expected.Responsible for defining and implementing project and technical road maps that align with overall product vision and roadmap.Overall accountability of technical implementation aspects of projects including planning, architecture, design, development and testing.Participate in Agile ceremonies (Daily Scrum/Refinement/Retro) to partner with product owner and team to discuss, set and deliver two-week developmental goals.Build and maintain back-end services, APIs, and databases to support data processing, storage, and retrieval, ensuring high performance, security, and data integrity.Develop intuitive and responsive user interfaces (UIs) that enable users to efficiently interact with multiple datasets, leveraging modern front-end frameworks and libraries.Partner with IS and business stakeholders to ensure that the solution is an appropriate fit for the end users.Keep abreast of technology upgrades and advancements and provides recommendations to improve process efficiencies.Enable DevOps practices across the team.

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of experience in full-stack web development, including both front-end and back-end technologies.Experience with modern front-end frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Node.js), and expertise in building responsive and user-friendly UIs.3 years of demonstrated ability developing secure, public cloud solutions for successful commercial products and/or services to customers using a SDLC process from start to finish.Knowledge of data governance principles and familiarity with Great Expectations for data validation.Hands on experience of building data pipelines using applications like Databricks.Experience using one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, C, C++, Swift/Objective C, Python, Go, C#, or JavaScript.Solid grasp of infrastructure as code, developing and operating programmatic pipelines for cloud services, and using automated DevSecOps frameworks to run a cloud SDLC.Knowledge or experience in basic DevOps support and deployment including Docker, Kubernetes, CICD, etc.Ability to demonstrate ownership and understanding in all stages of the project/SDLC lifecycle: analysis and design, development, and test, go-live and support and continuous improvementWilling and able to learn new technologies at a rapid pace.Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban).
