Seeking a mission-focused physician leader to join Harbor Health Services Inc. as Senior Medical Director in Eastern Massachusetts!
The Position
The Senior Medical Director, Community Health Centers, will be responsible for the direction and leadership of clinical practices across Harbor Health’s Community Health Centers. Reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Community Health Centers, the Senior Medical Director will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring safety, quality, and patient satisfaction throughout the organization. The Senior Medical Director will advise the CEO and compliance executive leaders on important updates regarding risk management, quality, and malpractice claims and will be responsible for the overseeing and maintaining the current quality Improvement plan. This individual will be responsible for ensuring survey readiness and will collaborate closely senior leadership executives including Site Practice Managers, Director of Nursing, and Medical Directors to improve current processes pertaining to local, state, and federal regulations. The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for the implementation and management of provider initiatives including provider contracts/compensation plans, provider engagement/experience, training, orientations plans, and credentialing processes. This leader will serve as a representation of the organization when collaborating with associations, institutions, and government bodies at the local, state, and national level. In addition, this individual will partner with social service agencies to enhance area hospital and provider networks.
Requirements
MD/DO is required. Strong preference for residency training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.Must possess a minimum of ten years of clinical practice experience in addition to a minimum of ten years of management experience is required. Clinical experience within a community health center and/or ambulatory setting is required.

In addition, Harbor Health operates two Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, a program that allows frail elders to live in their homes and communities, as well as the Dorchester South/South Boston Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutrition Program. Harbor Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center and is a ‘‘deemed” facility under the Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA). The FTCA provides medical malpractice coverage to all deemed facilities and its staff.
