Amotec is actively recruiting candidates for a Metallurgical Process Engineer role with a major, established steel manufacturing company. Located within driving distance of the major cities of Charleston and Huntington, West Virginia, our client has established a significant new facility in that region that is poised for major and sustained growth over the next several years. The person in this role will be in a great position to experience major career advancement within an exciting, new, and growing environment.
Reporting to the Melt & Cast Supervisor, the Process Engineer is focused on the melt shop and will be responsible for improving the efficiency of metallurgical processes in that area. Responsibilities: Resolve metallurgical issues to improve process efficiency in the melt shop Collaborate with other teams to optimize production parameters and product qualityDrive continuous improvement initiatives Conduct metallurgical analysis on equipment to drive upgrades, improvements, and maintenance
Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material ScienceStrong knowledge and understanding of steel metallurgical process, materials, and quality controlProven experience within the steel manufacturing industry
