Ampex is looking for a highly skilled and organized Senior Hardware Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary engineering team in developing leading data management solution products for aerospace applications. General Overview:Ampex is seeking a candidate with experience in system and board level high speed circuit design and implementation based embedded system. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment throughout the project stages from requirements definition, design documentation, implementation, qualification testing and product support.

This position is onsite in Hayward, CA. No employer visa sponsorship is available.

Principle Duties:Report to hardware engineering managerConduct system level requirements analysis and produce circuit requirementsDesign, develop and implement high speed circuitInterface and supervise the PCB layout designerDevelop, verification and validation proceduresPreform verification and validation testingDocument and maintain design configuration data

Qualifications:Must have a BS degree in Electrical or Computer engineering or equivalent5 to 7 years experiences in hardware developmentExperience in high-speed digital circuits and board designBasic understanding FPGA logic design and simulationExperience in microprocessor system architecturesProficiency in design software toolsSkilled in system test and validation methodsStrong verbal and written communication skills
