📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Statement of the Job
The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and collaborating on reports/analyses within the Finance Division which will include: Job-Costing Analysis, Soft-Cost Analysis, Completion Cost analysis, and other legally mandated reports.
Responsibilities include:Prepares presentation quality financial analyses/reports using SQL and Microsoft ExcelDevelops complex queries/scripts and automates periodic reportsCleans manipulates and analyzes large sets of raw dataUnderstands data relationships among various tables in the Data warehouseConducts business analysis and research to identify key metrics and opportunities for improvementWorks to ensure integration of accurate and complete data sourcesPerforms effective presentations on complex ideas that can be communicated in a simple straightforward mannerWrites policies/procedures and documents methodologies used to create analysesKnowledge of data visualization software such as Microsoft Power BI is a plus
Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related fieldMinimum of 6 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, advanced analytics, and delivering actionable insights from data using SQL and Microsoft ExcelStrong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
