📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Environmental Compliance Manager for a busy specialty Chemical Manufacturing plant located in Los Angeles. AMVAC is a diversified specialty and agricultural product company that manufactures solutions for crop protection and nutrition.
As the Environmental Compliance Manager, you will: Lead compliance efforts for all local, state, regional and federal regulatory environmental requirements including RCRA, SPCC, SWPPP, TSDR, TSCA, and morePrepare and submit environmental permit applications; maintain modifications and renewalsManage all documentation including manuals and reportsDevelop and implement Environmental training programsCollaborate on environmental, sustainability, source reduction, waste minimization, cost reduction, industrial hygiene, and safety goalsCommunicate with outside agencies and auditors and relay information to plant managersSupport offsite facilities, customers, and business partners to insure the proper management and disposal of hazardous wastes related to AMVAC products
Requirements:5+ years’ experience as an Environmental Compliance Manager in Southern California - Los Angeles County preferredSpecialty chemical manufacturing or similar industrial experienceKnowledgeable of regulations pertaining to air; water; storm water; wastewater; solid, universal, and hazardous wastes; pesticides; transportation; and safetyExperience auditing and implementing RCRA, PBR, SPCC, SWPPP, P2, AER, SMR, PPE, TRI SARA III, 1173, CWC, SB14, TSCA, AB2588, AB617, TSDFsExperience auditing, implementing and communicating and similar requirementsExcellent Communication skills - written and verbalSuccessful history of communicating with representatives of governmental agenciesProficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPointMust be able to pass pre-employment background check and physicalBachelor's Degree Required: Environmental or similar area of studyGraduate degree in a science area preferably environmental compliance and/or chemical orientation a plusAbility to past post-offer physical and background check What you get:Exceptional Health Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision with low out-of-pocketSalary range from 100,000 to 140,000401K with employer matchEmployee stock purchase plan ESPPLife and AD&D insurance paid by employerMore
