Ancestry seeks a Product/UX Designer (contractor) to join our Know Your Pet DNA product team. As the most recent product extension under the Ancestry DNA business, the team has recently released a 0-1 product into market and is in the early stages of growth and scalability. You will work closely with our UX, content, and Engineering teams to bring innovative solutions to our customers. This startup-like environment will allow for the wearing of many hats and having significant ownership of driving cross functional execution.

What You Will Do

You will tackle problems that play a central role in how customers understand and take action on the results of their Pet DNA resultsExamine the most impactful design opportunities across the market, partnership and the onsite product spectrum and create design solutions that help achieve key metrics.Partner with User Product, Marketing, Science, Customer Support, and Legal teams to understand key needs and improve the user experienceWork with the Product Management team to prioritize your work with the Engineering teams and guide the execution through product deliveryResearch and establish key metrics that will measure success of your products/featuresIdentify opportunities to implement changes, best practices, and new design constructs to prioritize in our roadmap.
