The SR ACCOUNTANT is charged with driving improvement and changes to the business; processing monthly and year-end closings; producing financial statements; recommending business process improvements based on reviewed performance; bank reconciliations; general ledger entries, job costing, account reconciliations; supporting general accounting duties for the manufacturer, sports and landscape division; compiling reports (as required by management); analysis of the financials; driving increased information flow with real time reporting implementation; and working closely with all levels of management, employees, customers, external auditors, and vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Managing the construction divisionsโ€™ accounting and reviewing performance monthly and as neededManaging project costing and identifying any potential cost overrunsCreating checks and balances for operational and data integrityReviewing and booking payroll for weekly and monthly payrollsManaging cash flow and holding employees responsible to budgetsCompiling a detailed, payables list on a weekly basis for review and approvalPreparing and reconciling journal entries, account reconciliations and accruals monthlyReceivable processing and follow up.Participating in the development of financial strategies as part of the Accounting Team.Other general accounting tasks that may be assigned. Experience with Accounting Software.
