Ultrasound Technologist - Certified

As a Certified Ultrasound technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging studies and documenting imaging study results in the electronic medical record. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.ResponsibilitiesExplain ultrasound procedures to patients so they feel comfortable with the experienceCalibrate, maintain and control all ultrasound equipmentPerform ultrasounds on 10-15 patients per day, on averageBe professional and discreet in communications with, and regarding, patientsNotify Physicians of any abnormalities or concerns immediatelyMaintain appropriate clinical documentation of ultrasound procedures including image storage, report documentation and EMR documentation in keeping with the practice's documentation policiesSee patients on time and reschedule patients as necessaryManage ultrasound scheduleSkills/QualificationsCertification as an Ultrasound TechnologistCardiac and Vascular certifications requiredExperience working in Athena EMR preferredKnowledge of medical office management systems and proceduresExcellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational and planning skillsDemonstrated ability to be proactive to resolve customer service issues and coordinate with team members.
