As part of our Aon Benfield team, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing and finalizing formal documentation memorializing terms and conditions applicable to treaty reinsurance arrangements. You will be challenged to learn and remain well informed of industry terms and jargon, as well as trends and regulations to remain competitive.

What The Day Will Look Like

Draft reinsurance contracts, attending documentation, and related correspondenceAssist brokers, clients, and markets in addressing issues related to contract wordingDraft, revise and endorse documentation for the London Market (London Slips)Draft and update Reinsurance Intermediary Agreements (Broker Authorization Contracts)Review expiring wording and new contract documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistencyParticipate in marketing presentations to prospective and existing clientsCoordinate with broker colleagues to review reinsurance agreement termsContribute to maintenance of library of clausesMonitor statutory positions, regulatory guidelines, judicial decrees, current wording issues and industry trends affecting reinsurance contractsEnsure that general processing and quality of assigned accounts complies with team guidelines

Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

Corporate/business/legal/paralegal experience in contracts preferred. Knowledge from insurance/reinsurance industry would be a definite plusExcellent written communication skills, including demonstrated/advanced competence in all facets of reading, writing, communicating in EnglishStrategic and analytical thinker, including basic math proficiency and proven problem solvingDetail orientedProficient with MS Office. Adaptable to other proprietary systems/applications as demonstrated by previous experience with other platformsNominal travel may be required

Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) with majors in English, Accounting, Business, Risk Management, Insurance but open to all majors. (Advanced degree or industry-related professional designation a plus)

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position is $61,000 - $70,000 USD. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
