📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
AP Professionals has partnered with a fantastic, local, manufacturing company in the Rochester area that is looking to add a Production Planner onto their growing team. The Production Planner will be responsible for the master scheduling, planning, as well as handling reporting within the ERP System. An individual with a continuous improvement mindset and a desire to have their voice and ideas heard would be a fantastic fit for this company and role. 5-8+ years of experience required.

RESPONSIBILITIESPerform daily production planning activitiesConvert the weekly schedule into work orders in SAP for the production floor based on actual capacity.Support the production process by creating system work ordersExpedite orders when neededSupport the Master Scheduler and execute the master plan and production schedule.Perform BOM set-up in ERP system, time studies, cycle count, among others.Work with the Production Supervisor to provide guidance on production and shipping priorities.Work closely with stockroom, operations, and supply chain personnel to adjust plan to changing variables.Coordinate material status and customer expectations and support the management of the department KPI’s.Understand lean approaches and support lean six sigma and continuous improvement efforts.EDUCATIONAssociates or Bachelor’s degree requiredEXPERIENCE5+ years of experience in a Production Planner role, within a manufacturing environmentStrong Knowledge of ERP/Planning systems (experience with SAP preferred!)Technology manufacturing experience a plus!Proficiency in Excel
