Job Description
Apex is seeking a Civil Engineering Summer Associate. We hire summer associates that are passionate about sustainable clean energy.
Responsibilities
Support the engineering, design, and construction of renewable energy projectsAssist with civil design layout and drawings for wind, solar and battery storage projectsAssist with editing project contractual documents and technical exhibitsSupport communications with key project stakeholdersSupport construction submittal reviews and responses for on-going projectsPerform other duties as needed
Qualifications
Undergraduate or graduate student studying civil engineeringExperience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Google Earth, Excel, and GIS software preferredKnowledge of project management concepts preferredDemonstrated ability to collaborate with othersCourse work or experience in the energy/power system industry; renewable energy experience is idealStrong analytical and organizational skillsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExpected graduation date in December 2024 or May 2025

The summer associate program will run from June 3 through August 9 but we can be flexible with the start and end datesHours: Full Time Type: Non-ExemptPaid Internship: Undergraduate, $17/Hour; Graduate, $27/HourOffice Location: Our Charlottesville, VA headquarters
