Job Title: Tech Task Lead/Network Technician

Contract Length/Type: Five year Long Term Contract

Pay Rate Range: $55.28/HR-$60.09/HR and $115,000-125,000

Clearance Requirement: Candidates must have an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance or higher.

Location/Hours of Operation: Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Hybrid working schedule two days remote and three days onsite

Daily Responsibilities

Troubleshoot external network issues as they arise. Routing, Switching, VLans, STP, OSPF protocols, and Firewalls. Analyze the network data collected from the test runs and produce data products. Develop relevant performance metrics (e.g., throughput, latency, packet completion rate, etc.). Produce network topology graphs and correlating its impact on network connectivity during the test run. Support system testing by performing various tasks utilizing knowledge and experience in networking technologies. Identify anomalous network behavior and provide explanations and/or directions on how to resolve the issue. System integration consists of upgrades, testing and configuration of network components on the Emulation Test Bed such as traffic stimulation (i.e., TGEN), and Linux (Red Hat) administration, and scripting. Implement test-scenario development, network traffic stimulation (e.g., TGEN), system configurations, test-run execution and monitoring, network-data capture, data storage, and post-test database generation. Technical knowledge in LAN/WAN networks, virtualization technologies, including install, configure, and operate simple-routed LAN, routed WAN, and switched LAN and access lists, IP RIP, route redistribution, RIP, route summarization, OSPF, VLANs, Ethernet, VMWare ESXi.
