Role: Endpoint Engineer

Duration: 12 month contract-to-hire

Location: Indianapolis, IN (100% Remote)

Apex Systems is looking for an Endpoint Engineer to join one of our enterprise healthcare insurance companies. This person will be responsible for working directly with 3rd party companies on integrating Crowdstrike as the primary cybersecurity technology. A strong candidate will have a great understanding of Crowdstrike, security concepts, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Performs complex configuration changes to meet business and information security requirements. Participates and completes tasks associated with the implementations of security technologies; executes testing plans; coordinates and prepares reporting of data security events and incidents; provides system and network architecture support; provides technical support to business and technology associates. Security Tool Implementation - deploying next-gen security tools in medium to large enterprises. Managing and supporting one or more enterprise level security related platforms. Provides trouble resolution on complex issues. Designs and analyzes vendor services and information security requirements; maintains relationship with key vendors. Participates and completes lights-on initiatives to consolidate equipment and/or implement business relocations. Responds to Level 3 and 4 change and problem requests; leads Level 1 and 2 incident recoveries and root cause analysis

Required Experience

Previous experience with security tool management, primarily antivirus or EDR products; CrowdStrike required Previous experience in an enterprise-level or large company cybersecurity operations center preferred. Previous experience with project management or in a project lead/engineering lead capacity preferred. This candidate should be able to: Speak with confidence about the topic. Be highly organized and prepared for project kick-offs. Have solid documentation skills. Follow pre-defined processes and make recommendations for improvements.
