Apex Systems is partnering with a local Electrical contracting firm in Charlotte, NC to find a Jr. Electrical Designer to join their team. This position is a FULL TIME-DIRECT HIRE position that will require 5x per week onsite.

Interested candidates must be able to sit on the clients W2. We cannot support candidates seeking Corp-to-Corp for this position*** Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 Full Time, Direct Hire 100% Onsite Some travel to job sites required as needed.

Job Summary

The Electrical Designer reports to a Senior Electrical Designer or Engineer and is responsible for responsible for advanced electrical design coordination, and modeling as directed., developing and maintaining of company drawings, and construction records. The Electrical Designer will design projects and provide drawing support for field operations with minimal direction. The Electrical Designer will be responsible to see that permits, drawings and design documents are properly handled on projects. The Electrical Designer shall maintain appropriate relationships with client contacts to assure their satisfaction with work performed and to further this work.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Performs activities relating to the 2D/3D modeling and coordination support of electrical projects performed by the Company. Works as part of a VCM/BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent and timely deliverables and results. Works with all disciplines and vendors on content requirements, model management and project standards. Responsible for interrupting the project design intent and visualizing the means and methods required for proper MEP installations per all applicable codes and standards.

Required Skills

Excellent understanding of all disciplines and general construction, including 3D modeling standards, techniques, and principles. Advanced knowledge of related codes, regulations, and design standards. Advanced knowledge of complex installation practices and trade standards. Fundamentals of trade coordination and conflict resolution. Proficient with IT networks and infrastructure. Proficient with technology, business applications and business machines. Proficient with various CAD software applications.
