📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Apex Systems is looking to find an experience Network Engineer for one of their large financial clients. This position is a contract position will sit 100% Remote, working EST hours designing, implementing and supporting multiple data centers using Cisco ACI and Cisco Secure Workload. Candidates must be able to sit on Apex Systems' W2.
TITLE: Network EngineerLOCATION: 100% remote – support EST requirementsSCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMJOB TYPE: 6+ month contract (extension/conversion based upon performance)
Roles and Responsibilities:Design, Document, and Configure Network infrastructure for a large enterprise with multiple Datacenters. Automate & document configuration changes with scripting for ACI Networks and Cisco Secure WorkloadDeveloping and building Network Automation processes using Python and Ansible.Collaborate with Teammates to create innovative solutions for unique challenges. Provide troubleshooting and analysis with resolution for complex issues when required . Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as Webex, Microsoft Teams, Visio, MS Office Suite. Ability to self-manage time.
Must Haves:Cisco Secure Workload experienceCisco ACI /ACI Contracts experienceDatacenter Switching/Catalyst/NexusPython scriptingAnsible Understanding of BGP/OSPF Routing protocols
Plusses:Previous experience in a Banking or Financial Services environment.ACI Multi-Site - Datacenter MigrationsCisco Certifications Cloud networking experience.
