📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
OVERVIEW - We are looking for someone who knows how to use standard PM tools and is able to manage multiple small projects and can coordinate resources at remote sites. PMP, experience with building proposals, and influencing others are strongly preferred. This role will manage the sustainment services contracts for depot facilities that have previously been activated with repair capability. The workload is roughly 60/40 planned vs ad hoc activities. Must be willing to travel 10% Must be local to Irvine or close enough to drive in a couple of times a week. Must have PMP.
Just a reminder on additional requirements:1. PM must be U.S. Citizen and able to travel between multiple depot sites2. Initial term is for 12 months, working 40 hours a week at Irvine Alton facility
Background:The Depot Activation team which is charted to develop new depot capabilities acrossthe world has multiple projects requiring Project Management support.
Scope of Work:Provide project management support for existing Depot Activation projects and Depot
Activation proposals.
- Support proposal developmenta. Gather competitive intelligence, as requiredb. Gather and document project information and business case assumptionsc. Develop and maintain project risk assessmentsd. Submit winning Depot Activation proposalse. Develop presentations in support of gate reviews
- Support project trackinga. Maintain project schedules, as neededb. Lead and/or support status meetingsc. Identify and resolve issues affecting project scheduled. Initiate periodic review of projected sales3) Project executiona. Provide Project management support throughout the stages as directedand assigned by team leaders.b. Work with project team to develop and maintain schedules, risk tools, andproposals.c. Monitor execution of delivery schedules.d. Forecast and meet project sales.e. Provide reporting and monthly status reports on all projects.f. Support proposal developmentg. Support invoicing
Domestic/ International travel is required when interfacing with the customer andsuppliers (10%).
Level and Period of Performance:Anticipate requiring one (1) Project Manager 40 hours weekly for a period of one (1)year.
