Junior Level Mechanical / HVAC / Plumbing Engineer

Seeking a Junior-Level HVAC/Plumbing Engineer to expand its business. This position will directly support the daily activities of the Company and provide engineering consulting and design services for a variety of clients to include commercial, government and private under the guidance of a senior Mechanical Engineer. Responsibilities:• Design and draft building mechanical, plumbing and fire protection systems using Autocad and/or Revit.• Perform engineering calculations and design systems in accordance with established policies, standards, procedures, and code under Senior Engineer’s close supervision.• Participate in project coordination with the Electrical, Structural, Civil and Architectural disciplines.• Assist with the preparation of plans and specifications for bidding and construction.• Coordinate and consult with others on design, layout and/or detail components and systems to resolve design issues or installation constraints.• Layout and dimensioning of equipment locations, pipe and ductwork routing, and support systems to eliminate interferences with other components, existing systems or other building elements.• Undertake site surveys and field investigations, as needed, and develop drawings for system installations and modifications.

Requirements:• Associate Degree in Mechanical Design or CAD Drafting and Design or Bachelor's of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and will preferably have completed at least 2 years of study.• Demonstrated interest in and understanding of the design of heat transfer/refrigeration and/or HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.• Knowledge of discipline specific codes and other building codes.• Proficient in AutoCad, Revit and Engineering modeling tools.• Trane Trace, Elite Fire and Energy Gauge Software would be a plus.• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.• Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design.• Candidate must live in Florida. The Lead Engineer must possess/demonstrate:• Professional integrity and seek the company and client’s best interests.• Ability to communicate with in-house and client parties in a professional and timely manner.• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.• Ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.

Job Type: Full-time.
