📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Pinsky Plastic Surgery, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, in Palm Beach Gardens has an exciting opportunity for a scrub technician to work with top plastic surgeons.
We are looking for full time Certified Scrub Tech with at least 4 years of experience to work with our plastic surgeons in the operating room and in clinic to deliver attentive and personalized care to our patients. Ideally, this person has previous experience working in a plastic and cosmetic surgery facility. The practice is in an expansion phase and is seeking someone with experience who is looking for an excellent long term career opportunity in a world class facility. Responsibilities:Assist in preparing the operating room for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are availableSet up surgical instruments and equipment according to the surgeon's preferencesAnticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and provide necessary instruments and supplies in a timely mannerMaintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to minimize the risk of infectionAssist the surgeon during surgery by passing instruments, holding retractors, and suturing as directedMonitor patients' vital signs and communicate any changes or concerns to the surgical teamCollect and document data related to patient care, such as surgical counts and specimensAdhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe operating environmentCleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments
Required Experience and Education:Previous experience as a Surgical TechnicianKnowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipmentFamiliarity with infection control practices in a healthcare settingStrong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical teamKnowledge of patient care principles and practicesUnderstanding of human anatomy and physiologyFamiliarity with electronic medical record systems (such as Nextech) for data collection is preferred
