📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Financial Analyst with a privately-held industry leader.
Summary
This position is focused on cost, inventory and deal analysis. It works closely with the Finance, Operations, Sales, and Sales Operations teams to provide key data analytics, extensive financial modeling, trend analysis and metric reporting necessary to support the overall strategic direction of the company.
Responsibilities
Serve as an analytic and data resource to the Finance Team, Operations Team, and other departments within the company. Contribute to the data validation inputs for a key performance indicator package for the Operations Team utilizing business intelligence (BI) and reporting tools (Hyperion, Power BI, SAP Analytics, etc.) Work with the Operations leaders and other members of the Finance Team on various financial analysis projects, presentations, and other materials. Work with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (MS Access, Hyperion, Power BI, etc.) and provide recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses for strategic decision-making. Assist in preparation of operating expense analysis. Participate in monitoring CapEx spend and prepare analysis to support spend. Active participant in building forecasts and annual operating plan, analyzing trends, and identifying areas of improvement in cost reduction. Strong ability needed to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as the business deems necessary. Review existing data-gathering methods and determine opportunities for improvement. Research and contribute to the development of a business intelligence report consisting of financial and operational information of competitors, other roaster and coffee companies, and external economic data and trends impacting the business.
Requirements
Minimum bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting). 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting. Proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis programs (Power BI, Tableau, etc).
