Technical Specialist - SME Windows Server

We are looking for a Windows Server hybrid infrastructure subject matter expert with an interest in creating and improving documentation for administrators, engineers, and architects.

Responsibilities • Collaborate with the Content writing team and Program Managers to identify content to focus on based on priority needs. • Work with stakeholders who use the product to gather information and turn it into customer ready content. • Create new articles and update existing articles to reflect the latest features and functionality, in support of their needs. This includes assisting with content freshness, technical accuracy and SEO improvements. • Author the documentation and test/validate and configurations that will be published. • Respond to reviewer feedback and incorporate feedback as needed. • Deliver documentation according to specifications and priorities provided by team • Use content team tools, process, style guide and publishing guidelines to deliver high quality documentation. Tools GitHub, Markdown language, and Azure DevOps Essential skills required:• Practical knowledge of infrastructure security, preferably with Windows Server• Experience engaging with external customers on solutions design and implementation, preferably in on-premises and hybrid environments• Experience authoring documentation for customer designs and implementing. Ideally with experience of adaptive writing styles for different audiences.• A background in consulting or customer facing engagements

Optional skills required:• Technical writing experience and/or experience creating technical, customer facing content, specifically IT pro and DevOps content • Ability to be self-sufficient and ability to work independently. • Experience or familiarity with markdown and GitHub is preferred. • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, Journalism, English, Computer Science or related field preferred. Work related experience may substitute for degree.
