Electrician

INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this procedure is to define the authorities, responsibilities, principal duties, reporting relationships, and measures of performance for the role of Electrician in the Peoria, IL area.

POSITION DATA

Position Title – Electrician/Electrical Foreman

Location: We operate in Wisconsin and Illinois. Travel to jobsites is required.

This will start as a temporary position for a period of roughly 15 to 90 days, with the potential to be hired on full-time during that time period.

All temps will have the opportunity to make this a temp to hire position after the 90 day mark if Arch and the worker are in agreement

Hourly prevailing wage rates are based on required rate in Mason County IL - $62.78/hour

If you are selected as an Electrician/Electrical Foreman during the hiring process, you will be eligible for increased pay rates over that stated rate above(details to follow during interview/hiring process).

Functional Role & Responsibilities

The role of the Electrician is to work in tandem with the Site Leader/Supervisor to provide consistent, high-quality, cost-effective, and timely analysis of projects. This role requires excellent attendance, a willingness to travel, the ability to work within budgets, and potentially in inclement weather. This role will work in conjunction with the Construction Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager of Construction, Site Lead/Supervisor, the Head of Technical Operations, and the Head of Business Operations to develop accurate and efficient project management and analysis. SPECIFIC TASKS INCLUDE:

Maintain and meet construction schedule deadlines that comply with customer requirements.

Lead day-to-day operations for a small electrical crew.

Handling of terminations and electrical testing.

Identify process improvement strategies to support business growth.

Required Skills

Strong customer service, Positive attitude, Highly motivated, Superior problem-solving skills.

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings.

Ability to perform tasks with no supervision other than Site Lead oversight.

Licensed Journeyman Electrician Card.

Preferred Skills

Electrical Foreman on a PV Install over 3 MW.

QC/QA Work on a PV Install over 3 MW.

Experience with Heavy Equipment operation.

Proficient in interpreting engineering software (i.e. AUTOCAD or Bluebeam).

Proven ability to work in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to perform physical tasks. Ability to lift 75 pounds.

Ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with co-workers, county officials, and the general public.

Demonstrated ability to comply with appropriate safety regulations.

18+ years of age with a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and proof of insurance

Comfortable working on a roof if needed. Knowledge of OSHA and Fall Protection is a bonus.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Electricans oversee, guide and manage the work of a small crew of electrical workers on site. They may also be responsible for QA/QC and other documentation for the customer based on need or Site Lead direction. The primary direction will come from the Site Lead/Supervisor.

AUTHORITY

Authority for the Electrician will be oversight for all employees in their electrical crew.

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

The job performance of the Electrician will be determined by a company-wide peer review, administered by the HR Coordinator or Director of Business Operations.
