πŸ“‹ Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Summary:The Accounting Manager will prepare and maintain financial records and the accounting activities of the department.

Reports To:Director of Finance

Supervisory Responsibilities:none

Duties/Responsibilities:Prepares and reconciles all financial accounts on a timely and accurate basis.Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately between multiple systems.Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.Assists in the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.Assists in the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.Works with other department heads to monitor each department.Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.Proficiency in QuickBooks online required.Knowledge of Bloomerang and WooCommerce is helpful.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Education and Experience:Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting.At least ten years of experience in a financial role.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation:Part-Time Contractor Position $45.00 - $65.00/hour
