About the Logistics Coordinator Position

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will provide exemplary service to Ark’s customers by working as member of the team to quote, plan, and execute air, expedited, and truck shipments. This is done by primarily by 1) adding and managing data in Ark’s quote management and transportation management software, and 2) communicating with Ark’s agents, air and trucking carriers to acquire tariff rates, negotiate spot rates, identify/secure capacity, and to coordinate transportation. In this position you will coordinate directly with Ark’s customers.

It is critical that you possess a sense of urgency, attention to detail, strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, ability to lift up 50lbs, and work well under pressure. Responsibilities: Communicate with suppliers, retailers, and customers to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.Plan and track shipment of final products according to customer requirements.Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channel.Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.Tracking and fixing shipping errors.Preparing bills and invoices.Managing distribution and shipment budgets.Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards.Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.

Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Business Analytics, preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.1+ years' experience in customer service or logistics is required.Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP).Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Keen on working in a fast-paced environment.
