Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team in a management role that will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of mortgage loan documentation following the closing process. As a key figure, you will provide expert advice and guidance regarding collateral, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies while providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze mortgage loan documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with company policies and procedures.Provide expert opinion and guidance on collateral, legal requirements, and industry regulations to internal teams.Identify and correct any errors, discrepancies, or missing information on mortgage documents.Work closely with internal teams, including loan officers and underwriters, to resolve document-related issues promptly.Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies governing mortgage documentation.Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive borrower information in compliance with privacy regulations.Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to mortgage documentation and collateral management.Update and maintain accurate records of mortgage documents in the company's systems or databases.Provide support and guidance to colleagues on document-related matters as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the mortgage industry.Expertise in mortgage loan collateral, including physical notes, deeds of trust, and recorded documents.Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors or discrepancies in documents.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with regulatory requirements governing mortgage documentation (e.g., RESPA, TRID) preferred.Experience using mortgage loan origination software or document management systems is a plus.
