Safety Specialist
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking to hire a part-time Safety Specialist to be based out of the Glasgow, KY area. This is a hybrid position that may require periodic travel to local, regional, and nationwide customer sites.
QualificationsMust have excellent public speaking skills (required)Must have a degree in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) OR 3+ years of experience in a full-time safety role (required)3+ years of conducting training, preferably in OSH-related topics (required)GSP designation, ASP certification, and/or CSP certification (preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required)Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards (required)Must be a U.S. citizen and authorized to work in the United States (required)Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (required)Must have a valid U.S. driver's license (required)Must be honest, dependable, responsible, and able to be relied upon to fulfill obligations (required)Must live within 50 miles of Glasgow, KY (required - NO PER DIEM OR RELOCATION EXPENSES PROVIDED)
ResponsibilitiesConduct various OSH-related training courses at customer sitesPromote a safe and healthy workplace at all timesCreate and upload training documents to the company serverPerform OSH-related audits and inspections at customer sitesDevelop and/or review OSH-related written policies and proceduresParticipate in company professional development activitiesBe ethical and maintain the highest level of integrity at all timesOther responsible duties as required by Arrow Safety and/or customer needs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE
