📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
About The Company
Our client is a diversified fintech firm looking to hire a Vice President to join their team. This role will work with various departments including the front office investments team, in-house, and external valuation experts.
Responsibilities
Report directly to the Director, Financial Controller, and interface directly with senior management team membersLead financial accounting and controls, and financial operationsManage the audit process surrounding the multiple on-balance sheet investmentsWork with front office teams to determine accounting implications of new business/investmentsDevelop, implement, and upgrade controls and procedures to ensure the function will be Sarbanes Oxley ready compliantResearch and analyze accounting matters; drafting and implementing formal accounting policies; evaluate current accounting practices and procedures and drive continuous improvementEnhance intra-group funding, transfer pricing & equity accounting and documentationEnhance management reporting capabilities via expanded use of Netsuite available fields
Requirements
Bachelor’s degreeCPA requiredExperience with accounting for and management of principal investmentsFamiliar with accounts payable operationsExperience with Sarbanes Oxley compliance
Salary Range
$150,000-$200,000
