Job Title: Revenue Accountant (Temporary, Fully Remote)

Duration: 6-Month Temporary Assignment with potential for permanent employment

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Revenue Accountant to ensure accurate revenue reporting and compliance with accounting standards, specifically ASC 606.

Job Description:As a Revenue Accountant, you will be instrumental in executing our revenue recognition policies and will play a critical role in financial reporting and analysis. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of ASC 606. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that revenue is recognized in accordance with company policy and accounting standards.

Responsibilities:Revenue Recognition: Implement and maintain revenue recognition under ASC 606, ensuring accurate monthly revenue reporting.Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analyses and reports; analyze revenue streams and report on variances and their implications.Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of deferred revenue and other accounts affected by revenue recognition.Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in relation to revenue transactions and reporting.Audit Support: Assist with external and internal audits by providing required documentation and explanations for revenue processes.Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and legal departments to ensure accurate financial representation of contracts and deals in financial statements.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline revenue accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency.

Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certification: CPA or similar certification preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition.Specific Knowledge: Must have extensive knowledge of ASC 606 and experience implementing its standards.Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Software: Experience with major financial software platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:This is a fully remote position allowing for a flexible work arrangement from anywhere in the country.This temporary position has the potential to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.Overtime is available and may be required depending on business needs.
