Responsibilities:- Conduct detailed analyses of complex financial data including partner compensation models and practice group profitability to gauge the firm’s financial health.- Develop sophisticated financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and cash flows, incorporating specific legal industry factors such as lateral hiring and litigation contingencies.- Collaborate with senior management to devise and oversee the annual budget, focusing on variance analysis and performance metrics.- Undertake thorough research on legal industry trends, competitor performance, and potential mergers or acquisitions within the Am Law 200.- Prepare and present in-depth financial reports specifically designed for our firm's needs, including partner profitability and practice group performance.- Spearhead cost-saving projects to boost financial efficiency while maintaining our competitive edge in the legal market.- Provide strategic financial guidance to various practice groups, aiding their business development efforts.- Maintain rigorous adherence to accounting standards and best practices pertinent to Am Law firms.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field- CPA or MBA highly preferred.- 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, demonstrating a strong law industry background.- Expert analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities.- Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software; knowledge of Alteryx or Microsoft Power BI is advantageous.- Exceptional ability to communicate complex financial data clearly and effectively.- Demonstrated precision and a high level of attention to detail.- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
