Senior Project Accountant

A real estate investment, development and hospitality company are looking to hire a Staff Accountant. They are seeking 5+ years accounting degree. The position is based in Miami.

In this role, you will work independently to own the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Processing. This person will allow work closely with the property manager to complete all Property Management accounting tasks including tenant tracking, billing, and preparing financials to be reviewed by the Controller. There will also be additional responsible for a variety of accounting, financial and operational services for our clients, including processing transactions, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and supporting existing accounting functions.Job DescriptionComplete non-complex account reconciliations, such as bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other balance sheet accounts.Prepare non-complex financial statements and required work papers to support the financial statements.Process transactions, which may include: accounts payable/cash disbursements processing, accounts receivable/cash receipts processing.Gain a thorough understanding of the broader operations of the company and question unique transactions.Ability to identify company issues concerning GAAP (FASB/SFAS) related to real estate and food and beverage management.Prepare and review payroll and payroll tax reporting.Education/ExperienceBA/BS degree in accounting or related field required.Aptitude developing working knowledge of accounting software and systems. QuickBooks experience is preferred.Proficiency with applicable software (including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).Skills/KnowledgeStrong organization skills/goal orientation/self-motivation.Ability to handle pressure in a positive professional manner.Excellent interpersonal skills.Communication that is clear, concise, and considerate of the needs of others.Ability to work cooperatively with others and value the different contributions people make.Proven success in managing relationships to exceeding expectations.
