Job Summary

The role of Team Lead for Financial Lines Operations is a part of the Operational Services organization, acting as the primary liaison and subject matter expert for Management Liability, Financial Institutions, Cyber, and Legal Practices Liability product lines. Leading a group of Operational Technical Specialists, this position ensures adherence to set service level agreements and accurate processing of post-bind operational tasks. Additionally, the Team Lead actively contributes to strategic operational initiatives, providing experience and insight that meet broader company goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry, demonstrate a commitment to customer satisfaction through mindful performance, and have a proven record in people management.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee a team of Operations Technical Specialists, offering coaching, development opportunities, and constructive feedback.Handle complex policy issuance, binders, endorsements, cancellations and reinstatements. Monitor, manage, and report on SLA's, quality, and audit metrics, continually seeking opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.Delegate tasks, balance workloads, and monitor progress to ensure completion within agreed-upon service levels.Work with cross-functional teams to assist in resolving complex issues.Test and actively contribute to diverse technology and system initiatives.Spearhead the renewal process by ensuring underwriters review and approve renewal policies, and coordinate system setup of renewals with the Operations support team.Generate internal and external monthly reports as required and provide ad-hoc support to finance, systems, data, and actuarial teams as needed. Conduct random quality assurance checks on policies to ensure accuracy.Engage in daily communication with the outsourced team regarding work quality, process revisions, exceptions, and opportunities for training.Maintain effective communication with underwriters and brokers to obtain necessary information for accurate processing of business transactions.Prepare and coordinate all transactions and internal processing for multiple products, including but not limited to binder preparation support, invoices, complex policies and endorsements, cancellations, renewals, non-renewals, and reinstatements. Process Broker of Record (BORs) letters.

Qualifications

8-10 years of demonstrated expertise in P&C insurance industry operations.Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Experience with Financial Lines (i.e., D&O, E&O, Cyber, FI, Healthcare) required. 3+ years of experience leading and managing teams effectively, demonstrating strong influencing skills and fostering a collaborative work environment.Experience with Salesforce, Subscribe, IMS, and ODEN Policy Terminator a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to multitask effectively, demonstrate strong analytical skills, and maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPointMust demonstrate effective time management skills and organizational abilities.Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment, demonstrating a desire to work effectively as part of a team.This position may be filled at a different level, depending on experience***

Compensation

Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual cash bonus, long-term incentives, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $85,000- $95,000.
