Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our team as a Director of Software Engineering.
As a Director, you will join one of our new teams focused on a core business domain. You will lead developers to modernize legacy systems by developing new software and services using cloud-native GCP technologies, using Microsoft .NET (Core/6) stack on Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
Leading a development team in the design, implementation, and testing of enterprise applicationsAbout 70% of hands-on coding & application designPlanning and roadmap designReviewing design and code to ensure code qualityWorking with business stakeholders and product owners for business requirements gathering and clarificationDesigning/developing new and enhancing existing software applications and backend services using Microsoft .NET 6 technologiesContribute new ideas to improve software practices and processesGain an understanding of the domain elements of dental management and business models.Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches.Ensure the quality of the built software via automated unit/integration testsWorking in Agile environment with other developers, software architects, QA analysts, and product managers.Be dependable; deliver individual and team outcomes on time and within the expectations of the role.
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 15+ years of software development experience working in complex environments (or work experience equivalent).Strong technical and team management experienceStrong knowledge and experience of .NET Core, C#Strong technical and team leadershipExcellent communication skillsProficient in the design of RESTful APIs, you understand how CRUD maps to APIs and can stand by critical principles such as HTTP verbs and code.Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCPMinimum 5 years of experience with distributed and microservice application architecturesEstablished experience in upgrading the company's technology stack to the next generationExperience with SQL and complex stored proceduresClear insights into the industry trends and latest technologiesStrong understanding of unit testing principles and approachesStrong understanding of LINQ syntax and ORMs (EF Core preferable)Strong understanding of source code control tools (Gitlab) and branching modelExperience using project management tools like Atlassian JIRAComfortable working in a hybrid/onsite environment

Experience with NoSQL databasesExperienced with building out and maintaining metrics, alarms, and monitoring of services.Experience in xUnit/nUnit frameworksExperience with OAuth or OpenID Connect protocols
Yearly salary starting at $200,000 plus 25% performance bonus
