Job Title: Denial Coordinator

About the Role

Astrana Health is looking for a Denial Coordinator. This role will report to a Manager-Denial and enable us to continue to scale in the healthcare industry. This is a hybrid role where the expectation is to work both in the office and at home on a weekly basis.

What You'll Do

Comply with NMM and department policies and procedures to ensure timely and accurate processing of all deferrals and or denialsReview and process daily assigned deferrals or denials (denial, modify, carve out, etc.) with a minimum of 30-40 letters per day with accuracy and qualityEnsure daily Failed Fax Report for denials and deferrals is reviewed and letter/notification refaxed and documented in the referralEnsure daily monitoring of the Denial Inquiry; refax denial notification or letter, respond to the provider or interdepartmental emails, and document in the referral notes as neededMaintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality/patient privacy (HIPAA) of all information (written, verbal, electronic, etc.) that an employee encountersPerform other duties, projects, and actions as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED1+ years of experience working in the healthcare industryExperience using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to communicate with multiple clients at a time

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in the office and at home on a weekly basis. The position is located at 1600 Corporate Center Dr, Monterey Park, CA 91754. This position will typically work Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. We also require weekend and holiday coverage, as well as mandatory overtime. The total compensation target pay range for this role is $19.00 - $26.00 per hour. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
