📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client, a global pharmaceutical powerhouse, known for their expertise in developing and manufacturing a wide array of world-class pharmaceutical drugs, life-saving vaccines, and innovative animal-health products, is in search of an Infectious Disease Scientist to join their growing team.
Type: Contract (one year)Rate: $40-45/hr
Duties:HIV biomarker workReceipt, logging, and processing of patient blood samplesCell isolations from HIV+ human tissue biopsiesRunning of biomarker assays on the above samples (including pPCR, standard and ultra-sensitive ELISAs, and potentially flow cytometry)Assisting with development, validation, and running of novel biomarker assays.Testing of test compounds in primary cell HIV assays
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a life science or bioengineering2 years of hands-on laboratory experienceExperience with cell culture, blood processing, and immunoassays is strongly preferred
