Sales Data Analyst/Consultant

Purpose

The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in enhancing sales performance by providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations. Collaborating closely with sales leadership, this role will focus on evaluating wholesaler productivity, identifying high-value opportunities, and optimizing sales processes. The Data Analyst will leverage multiple data sources to assess salesperson effectiveness and contribute to the overall growth of the business.

Accountabilities

Wholesaler Productivity Evaluation:Partner with Divisional VPs to identify measurement needs.Provide analytical insights to sales management regarding salesperson effectiveness and market opportunities.Leverage data from various sources to evaluate individual sales performance.Develop KPIs and metrics to measure productivity.Sales Effectiveness:Research and develop strategies to enhance the effectiveness of the sales team.Collaborate with Divisional Sales Managers and Senior Vice Presidents.Regularly interact with sales leadership to discuss performance deltas and potential opportunities.Balance short-term data needs with ongoing initiatives and data models.Financial Considerations:Partner effectively with Finance to understand distributor profitability.Weigh distributor profitability as a factor in recommendations.Evaluate and identify sales attribution (activities performed vs. actual revenue generated).Sales Incentive Programs:Propose sales incentive programs to drive results.Measure and report on the return on investment of these initiatives.Provide ongoing visibility to progress and standings of incentive programs.Participate in quarterly compensation review and planning meetings with a focus on developing easily consumable reports and reviewing content for accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Working knowledge of Salesforce.Ability to leverage enterprise data for advanced reporting.Proficiency in combining various data sources for robust output.Strong knowledge of Annuity products and distribution structure.Influencing skills and change management abilities.4-6 years of experience in financial services.Strong organizational skills.Proven success in influencing across business units and management levels.Confidence and ability to make effective business decisions.Willingness to travel (less. than 10%)
