📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Who we are looking for
We are currently looking for a Shipper / Receiver I to be based out of Pendleton, Oregon. Reporting to Shipping Manager, the Shipper / Receiver I will be responsible for pulling orders, stock fitting shelves; loading and unloading trucks in the warehouse are and making sure the product is secure and safe.
What you’ll do:
Shipper / Receiver I’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Follow plant safety rules and procedures while wearing proper PPE while in the yard and loading/unloading trucks.Ability to locate, accurately count, and package products for shipment.Package, palletize and bundle product for shipment using means appropriate for method of transportation.Proficient with all types of material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks and banders.Packaging accuracy must be at or exceed an acceptable level.Perform general warehouse duties and cleanup.
What you’ll bring:
Ability to work in a safely and efficient manner in a fast-paced work environment.Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds unassisted.Attention to detail, accuracy, time management and organization.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Within 3 months, you’ll:
Complete any required training.Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.You will be immersed into the Atkore Safety Culture.
