Tube Mill Operator - 2nd Shift
Who we are looking for
We are currently searching for an experienced Tube Mill Operators to be based out of Harvey, IL, located approximately 30 miles south of Downtown Chicago. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this person will be responsible for operating, setting up and adjusting tube mill equipment and tooling.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, processing steel. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
What you’ll do:
Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace by following 5S, Standard Work and wearing all required PPE.Set up Tube Mill.Adjust and operate all components areas of Tube Mill.Ensure quality based on specification provided with work order.Complete daily paperwork on time.Maintain all coating and induction equipment.Conduct safety inspection of work area daily.Fill out hour by hour board.

Experience in industrial manufacturingStrong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to pass the post offer employment process with drug screen
Within 3 months, you'll:
Show progress and/or complete job specific trainingBe well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operationsGain a basic understanding of required duties and job expectations.
