Summary: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest level of service in member dining venues. He or she serves as the most immediate manager for a la carte member dining. Primary Responsibilities:• Work as directed to support the mission and values of Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC)• Assumes an active role in the hiring, training, and coaching of the restaurant staff.• Formulates the daily line-ups to encourage employee timeliness, productivity, proper service, and other standards of the AAC• Prepares the closing report with the Culinary MOD, including successes and defects from the evening• Checks tickets and member charges, ensures proper charges are made and follows up with any discrepancies brought forward by membership or accounting department• Monitors and restocks inventory for all service items including supplies, china, silver, and glassware• Assists with Culinary Department for updates and changes of menu, menu design and menu descriptions• Ensures the state and local laws and the Club’s policies are followed• Maintains a presence on the floor to visually monitor and ensure food quality and service standards are met• Reviews table diagrams, guest tables and other function room set-up needs for special events• Inspects all linens during events for proper appearance• Ensures the neatness, cleanliness, and safety of all restaurant areas including beverage equipment• Will consistently serve as the clubs opening or closing manager • Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff • Addresses member and guest complaints promptly and reports on appropriate corrective actions that were taken • Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Food and Beverage Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills• Computer literate, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word • Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment while maintaining a pleasant personality• Must be able to communicate information as needed to external departments and team members• Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with members, team members and vendors• Must have a flexible schedule and open to working nights, weekends and holidays• Must be able to obtain an alcohol pouring permit from the City of Johns Creek Education: • College degree in Hospitality preferred but not required• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory position• Prior experience in an upscale dining environment with a strong track record of progression and growth Atlanta Athletic Club (AAC) is committed to providing a comprehensive benefit program for your physical and financial wellness, creating value in your most important investment - you!
