📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Exciting opportunity with a reputable manufacturing company!Seeking a Tax Analyst to contribute to daily indirect tax operations and special initiatives.
Responsibilities:Support in preparing indirect tax workpapers, analyzing sales/use tax, managing property tax payments, handling abandoned property, and reviewing assessments, alongside other tax-related tasks.Contribute to state and local tax research and analyses.Enhance state and local tax processes, including sales/use tax procedures.Participate in state and local tax auditAid in data preparation for indirect tax compliance.Maintain and update exemption certificates from clients and vendors.Assist in special projects within the state and local tax department.Manage tax calendar and monitor tax inquiries.Fulfill other responsibilities as directed by management.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 1-2 years of relevant experience; or a comparable combination of education and experience.Strong communication skills, written and verbal.Exceptional organizational abilities.Capability to handle multiple priorities and projects with keen attention to detail.Preference for experience with Vertex software.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to work autonomously within a team environment.Self-driven with a sense of urgency.Dedication to self-improvement, continual learning, and professional growth.
