📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Summary: As a Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the tax department in various tasks related to tax compliance, research, and reporting. Under the guidance of senior tax professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in preparing and analyzing tax returns, assisting with audits, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.Review financial data and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness for tax reporting purposes.Conduct tax research using online resources, tax code publications, and other relevant materials to support tax planning and compliance efforts.Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities and auditors, including gathering requested documentation and preparing responses.Participate in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities for clients or the organization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, finance, and legal departments, to gather information and support tax-related projects.Stay up-to-date on changes to tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements to ensure compliance and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.Provide administrative support to the tax department, such as organizing files, maintaining records, and preparing correspondence.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Coursework in taxation is preferred.1-2 years relevant experience preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively.Familiarity with tax software and research tools is a plus.Some exposure to tax preparation or related experience through internships or coursework is desirable but not required.
