We have been engaged to assist our client, Industrial Engineering Mfg. (IEM), in their search for a Tax Director. IEM is a $1.2B private equity-backed manufacturer of electrical distribution and integrated power systems and has been solving power distribution challenges for the biggest players in technology and dozens of high-tech pioneers since they were start-ups.
Reporting to the VP and Corporate Controller, the Tax Director will be the #1 tax professional at IEM and will oversee the tax function for the Company, including managing tax reporting, compliance, and audits. This is a role for a hands-on strategic thinker who is ambitious and eager to contribute within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
Technical Requirements B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and Big 4 public accounting background preferred. A Masterβs Degree in taxation or Tax LLM degree is preferred.Minimum of 15 years of corporate tax experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.Experience with transfer pricing, R&D credits, and mergers and acquisitions. Experience with international tax planning for a multinational company. Demonstrated ability to manage tax projects, including managing all aspects of relationships with internal and external tax resources is required.
