📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Automotive Events, Inc. is seeking an Event Project Manager to assist with the creation and to lead events across the country. The Project Manager will work with clients and internal account teams in the planning, development, and execution of bespoke, impactful, and message-rich events. Our clients are the national and international communications teams of major Automotive brands (OEMs).

Essential Job FunctionsContribute to event planning and creative brainstorming meetings.Perform research via phone and Internet. Analyze cost information and quotes to make purchasing decisions.Negotiate contracts with hotels, restaurants, and event venues.Prepare staff, client, and contract event team for successful events.Manage all aspects of the planning and execution of events.Provide regular project updates.Assist the management team in the development of the project logistics.Understand OEM marketing goals and strategy.
Required Qualifications3+ years of experience in live event management, high-end hospitality industry experience, or similar. Familiarity with hotels/resorts and unique venue experiences.Bachelor’s Degree preferred or some education with relevant work experience.Extremely detail-orientation with a commitment to perfection in produced materials.Self-starter with exceptional time management, organization and prioritization skills.Ability to effectively build and foster team environments and supervise a large staff, must be able to coordinate a large team of diverse roles and personalities at events in unique locations / venues.Sense of urgency.Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.Ability to learn and adapt quickly, and to work well under pressure.Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done and make the client happy.Computer Proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Knowledge and experience with Project Management software is preferred. Valid driver’s licenseAbility to manage the event on site including being outside in cold and hot conditions and lots of physical activity – walking, lifting of up to 25 lbs., etc.Extensive Travel 50% - 70%, event days require odd hours - early start and/or late finishing.Contemporary cultural and events knowledge is a big plus.Korean language skills are a big plus.Car / automotive industry knowledge is a plus.
