Our Internship Program is designed for college students at the Junior, Senior, and graduate levels who want to get hands-on experience in the traditional and digital media industries.
If you're someone who's organized, detail-oriented, loves working with numbers, knows your way around tech, enjoys teamwork, and is curious about media planning and buying in advertising, then we want you on our team!
Dates: 12 weeks starting on May 27 - August 16. Schedule: Tuesday – Thursday in office 9 – 5. Monday/Friday work from home or vendor meetings in person.This is a hybrid position with 3 days a week required in the office (Houston) after a 2-week training period on-site.Compensation: This is a paid internship. About Avail Media
Avail Media is a full-service media agency, providing planning, buying and promotional services for clients in both traditional and digital media across the United States and internationally. In addition to servicing clients directly, Avail Media also provides media planning and buying services for creative agencies, marketing consultants and public relations firms. Job Responsibilities: * Assist Media Team in all media planning, buying and researching duties. * Provide support in the creation and maintenance of reports, media flowcharts, and summaries.* Monitor and pull competitive spend and creative. * Reconcile and post invoices for client billing. * Solicit media proposals and meet with vendors to learn more about what they do (print, online, OOH, and digital media).* Support daily office operations: data entry, projects, meeting notes, etc. * As the selected intern, you will do a summer project: researching and creating a presentation on a selected topic, provided by Media Team. At the end of the summer, you will present your findings to the team. Skills: * Knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, File sharing and Google Docs required.* Ability to multi-task, problem solve and communicate effectively with all levels of management. * Knowledge in social media and digital media a plus. * Knowledge of Strata or other buying software a plus. Requirements:* To be eligible, you must achieve one of the following class standings by the Spring 2024 term: Junior, Senior or Graduate.* Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Graduate Degree: preferably advertising, communications, marketing
