Onsite Supervisor

The Opportunity

Overall management co-ordination and responsibility for the day to day operational management of the Avantor Services team on our customer’ site. Responsible for health and safety requirements, training/compliance and line management of the Avantor staff to ensure delivery of a high-quality service to our customer. Liaise with other suppliers, senior stakeholders and the science community ensuring continuity of contracted services by measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). May assist higher level supervisor.

In this role, you will report to the Territory Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will

Proficiency in Information Access and ERP Systems; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic understanding of Microsoft Access. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional, can-do attitude. Prioritize safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures. Exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to multitask effectively. Demonstrate self-management, self-motivation, and forward-thinking abilities. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with customers and various departments within Avantor. Lead and supervise team activities outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW) to meet customer needs. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering individual and team growth through coaching and mentorship. Manage open order status reports, customer metrics, department reports, and ensure the maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SOWs. Conduct training sessions and offer assistance to associates, serving as a backup to ensure completion of required tasks. Handle administrative duties including performance appraisals, succession planning, time card review, and vacation scheduling. Establish and maintain SOPs, SOWs, SPIs, and KPIs. Ensure compliance with GxP standards and practices in documentation. Enhance customer relationships through continuous personal development within the industry. Perform additional assigned tasks. Understand and apply Avantor's policies consistently. Demonstrate the ability to make sound business decisions with limited consultation with managers.

Pay Transparency

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$70,000.00 - $116,000.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
