Avista Senior Living Spokane is currently looking for ASSISTANT CAREGIVER to join our team. As an ASSISTANT CAREGIVER we will cross train you so you can assist with certain needs and departments.
WITH THIS POSITION YOU WOULD BE TRAINED AS A SHOWER AIDE/LAUNDRY AIDE IN ADDITION TO BEING A CAREGIVER**

Job Duties
Read and implement care/activities of daily living (ADLs) according to the resident service planAssist with showering and bathing Assist with LaundryAssist with Dining room resetRespond to resident needs, pendant calls, and other community alarms in a timely manner.Demonstrates empathy and develops caring rapport with residents. Promotes resident independence and self-care.Delivers care and services in accordance with individual service plans for all assigned residents.Maintains accurate and complete records of care delivered.Completes incident reports accurately and timely. Understands policies pertaining to safety and infection control and demonstrates practices to control the spread of communicable illnesses. Promotes a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff to keep the community and resident property clean.Recognizes, responds to, and reports concerns in resident's environment to ensure the safety and comfort of our residents.

WA Caregiver certificationProven experience as a personal care assistant, minimum of 1 year experienceCommitted to health & safetyReliableExcellent communication and people skillsA positive and compassionate attitudePhysical staminaCPR-certified, able to obtain fingerprint clearance
