Avista Senior Living Spokane is looking to hire a COOK that will also be used to float between different departments to lend a helping hand. We are looking for a COOK WHO WILL BE CROSS TRAINED and can either work part-time or full-time shifts. The roles you will be cross trained on in additoin to being a cook will be transportation as a driver and in activities as an activities assistant.

COOK. We are looking for a talented chef who is passionate about fresh & delicious “home-cooked” meals and upscale customer service. We entrust our residents’ health and well-being to only the most qualified and trustworthy individuals. DRIVER. The Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents to and from various Life Enrichment and medical appointments while providing quality service.
ACTIVITY ASSISTANT. Assists in maintaining a balanced resident-centered activity program for the community Reviews, reads, notates, and initializes the Daily Log and Department Log to document and learn about pertinent information and any resident’s physical and behavioral changes as well as activities information.

Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have a finger print clearance card.CPR/First aid certifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent.Have and maintain a valid Washington’s license with a “clean” driving record for past three years.Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.Must have dependable transportation and be able to work varying hours as needed, which may include weekends.Ability to pass a background screening through the Utah Department of Health Services.Food Handlers permitExcellent communication skills.Excellent time management skills and work ethic.Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, lift at least 50 lbs., and work safely.Knowledge of food sanitation regulations.Willingness to provide direction and minor supervision to servers and kitchen assistants as needed.
