Part-Time Pharmacist

The Part-Time Pharmacist appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, handles incoming physician calls, logs data into the computer, performs Rx workflow processing, and conducts drug utilization reviews.

This is a part-time position located at a new Avita Pharmacy in Philadelphia, PA (1226 Chestnut St).

We are looking for a Pharmacist who can work 20 to 30 hours per week Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm. The specific days and hours can be flexible. It will be ideal if the Part-Time Pharmacist can also work additional days/times to cover for PTO and other business needs.

PLEASE NOTE: The pharmacy is scheduled to open in May, and we would like to have the team (including this position) start ASAP and train at other Avita locations which will require a few days/weeks of overnight travel.

Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies, pursuant to all state and federal lawsMaintain the highest quality of pharmaceutical care and servicesAssist with managing pharmacy operations and supervising team members as neededCollaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptionsEnsure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacyKeep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programsConsult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel as appropriateMaintain patient confidentiality in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitudeMaintain a high level of professionalism consistent with company standards, including dress, personal appearance, and groomingPerform other related duties as assignedPerform in accordance with company policies and standardsEmbrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals

About You

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited universityActive Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of PA1+ year of full-time retail pharmacist experience preferred340B experience preferredAAHIVP certification preferredCertifications in different areas of Pharmacy a plusExcellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skillsAble to efficiently work, mentor, and supervise staff in a fast-paced environment

Pay range: $55 to $62 per hour, based on credentials and geographic location
